Laughing Water Ranch, LLC is a family owned working buffalo ranch located north of Bassett, Nebraska. The ranch is bordered on the North by the Niobrara River and is in a segment which has been federally designated as a Wild and Scenic River. We have been raising bison since 1994 and hunting professionally since 1999. Our hunting operation is not large so we can offer flexible hunt packages with you or your group having the ranch to yourself. Our management plan is heavily weighed towards deer and turkey production to ensure a quality hunting experience regardless of season or game pursued.

Blue Creek Ranch

Starting this year, we will be hunting buffalo on the Blue Creek Ranch near Oshkosh, Nebraska. This ranch is home to 4,000 buffalo on 85,000 acres of Nebraska sandhills. We chose to offer these hunts because we feel these are the best priced, highest quality ranch hunts you can find today. Laughing Water Ranch Outfitters, LLC is the only outfitter hunting the buffalo on this ranch so our clients are ensured of a real trophy and a great hunting experience. A sister ranch to the Blue Creek has produced the pending #1 SCI Bison for both gun and bow.

Buffalo Production

We can’t hunt all year long so we raise buffalo the rest of the time. Our breeding herd consists of award winning animals from all over the US and Canada. We offer a limited number of breeding stock as well as both grain and grass finished slaughter animals.
